Building Forward at Caledonia Road

The demolition of the Caledonia Road flats in Glasgow marked a pivotal moment in the transformation of the Gorbals area. As the last major tower blocks in the neighbourhood came down in a controlled explosion, a new chapter in community regeneration began.

Quantity Surveying Role in Caledonia Road Regeneration – Glasgow

We’re proud to be supporting this redevelopment through our role as Employer’s Agent and by providing dedicated Quantity Surveying (QS) services. Our QS team is involved throughout the new build phase with a focus on procurement, cost planning, contract administration and ensuring successful delivery of 152 high-quality new homes.

The site will be cleared, backfilled, and prepared for redevelopment over the coming months with a planned date of March 2026 for the New Build phase, including flatted blocks, townhouses, and wheelchair-accessible properties.

Designed by award-winning architects Elder and Cannon and Page\Park, the project reflects a shared ambition to create beautiful, durable homes that support community wellbeing and sustainable urban living. A key aspect of this project is its strong focus on sustainability. Every material from the demolition is being recycled, ensuring nothing goes to landfill. This approach aligns with Glasgow’s goals for net-zero emissions and reflects a broader industry move toward circular economy practices.
