Key Project Details

NBM was appointed as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor for the delivery of a £11M new build residential development on Pitlethie Road, Leuchars, on behalf of Kingdom Housing Association. Constructed by Campion Homes Ltd, the scheme provides 49 affordable homes for social rent, including a detached wheelchair-accessible property, eight cottage flats, and a mix of two, three and four-bedroom terraced and semi-detached houses. Designed with energy efficiency and long-term sustainability in mind, all properties incorporate net zero emission heating systems such as air source heat pumps, while accessible homes were equipped with wet floor showers and rise-and-fall kitchen fittings to support independent living.

Solutions & Approach

NBM managed cost, quality, and contractual administration on behalf of the client. Working collaboratively with Campion Homes, Montgomery Forgan Associates (architects), and Bayne Stevenson Associates (engineering), the team ensured the successful delivery of sustainable, inclusive homes that met Kingdom Housing Association’s Housing for Varying Needs standards.

Outcomes

The project was completed on budget and 10 weeks ahead of programme. The scheme has been recognised as a milestone in affordable housing provision for Fife, demonstrating what can be achieved through strong partnerships and a shared vision. Residents benefit from thoughtfully designed, energy-efficient homes that enhance community wellbeing and provide much-needed housing for the local area.
